Rawalpindi: The Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) has prepared a plan to improve the water supply in Rawalpindi, a news source reported. The authority has decided to operate all the existing tube wells following the new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The new SOPs involve strict monitoring of the tube well operators. They also direct officials to improve the working of the tube wells in technical terms. WASA prepared the new plan following the directives of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) and WASA Chairman Muhammad Arif Ali.
In these directives, WASA has been told to ensure that safety rules in its tube wells are followed, and to eliminate the technical faults in the equipment.

Meanwhile, WASA Managing Director Muhammad Tanvir has issued orders to all the deputy directors of water supply to increase the pace of the panel improvement process.
