Hyderabad: Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) has launched a phase-wise crackdown against defaulters of water bills, reported a new source. The authority has notified the defaulters of the operation via a notification.

In the first phase of this operation, WASA gave April 18 as the final deadline for consumers in Qasimabad, Diplai Memon Society, Makki Shah Road, Station Road, Hyderabad Bypass and Hirabad to clear due water bills. The authority had warned that water connections for those who will not clear the pending will severed without any further notice.

The notice further announced that the authority has started its operation to recover due water bills from owners of high-rise buildings, apartments, commercial units, wedding halls, housing schemes, ice factories, service stations and bottled water companies in Qasimabad, Latifabad and Hyderabad City.

Through this notice, the WASA recommended public to clear their pending dues in terms of water bills and help the authority to continue providing better services to people of Hyderabad.
