In this regard, WASA Lahore and the European Agency held a review meeting. As per the agreement, the funds will be used for the establishment of a Project Management Unit (PMU) and to speed up the completion of the Babu Sabu Water Treatment Plant.
By supplying the River Ravi with cleaner water, the upgraded water treatment facility will aid in reducing environmental pollution. Speaking at the event, WASA Managing Director Ghufran Ahmed said that the support of the European Union will be essential in assisting WASA in addressing the water supply and sanitation needs of the city. By providing technical support, the agency will be guaranteed the tools and knowledge necessary to complete its projects successfully. Additionally, by giving Lahore residents access to clean water and adequate sanitation facilities, this partnership between the EU and WASA will contribute to raising their quality of life.
