If the Punjab Government approves the project, WASA Faisalabad will be able to start work on it by January 2020.
WASA Faisalabad has prepared the project based on the plan shared by Japan International Corporation Agency and similar Europe-based water companies. The project is designed accordingly to set up separate drains for storm water and sewerage water. WASA has also been advised to use the storm water to regenerate the underground water table, instead of channelling this water to storm drains.
