Faisalabad: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Faisalabad has crafted 15 new schemes under the Annual Development Programme (ADP), as reported on August 12.

As per details, these ambitious projects, once completed, are expected to alleviate up to 70% of the city’s pressing concerns, offering much-needed relief to its residents. The announcement came during a visit by the respected Director General of the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Mohammad Asif Chaudhry to the WASA headquarters. Chaudhry, a seasoned administrator, lauded the agency for its forward-thinking approach in addressing the needs of Faisalabad’s growing population.
The Managing Director of WASA Amir Aziz provided an insightful briefing on the agency’s ongoing efforts and introduced new schemes thoughtfully designed to modernize the city’s infrastructure. His detailed presentation underscored WASA’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Faisalabad’s citizens. The gathering was attended by a host of senior WASA officials, all of whom echoed the importance of these projects.
In addition to the new initiatives, the discussion also touched on several foreign-funded projects currently in progress. These efforts, aimed at expanding water supply, improving wastewater treatment, and building capacity within the agency, are expected to be completed on schedule, promising a brighter future for the city’s infrastructure.
Director General Chaudhry expressed his confidence in the success of these endeavors, emphasising the need for continued support from the Punjab government to ensure their timely completion. He also highlighted that these projects would resolve critical water and sewage challenges and contribute significantly to reducing environmental pollution, a growing concern in the region.
