Gujranwala: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has established emergency centres for monsoon at several places in Gujranwala, a news source reported. Other efforts include the upgradation of 26 disposal stations and installation of 35 dewatering sets at important places.
According to details, to ensure immediate drainage of water, machinery and staff have also been deployed. Emergency centres have been made active on GT Road Haideri Underpass, Dastageer Khan Chowk, and General Bus Stand, among others. Meanwhile, dewatering sets have been installed on Qila Chanda Singh, Commissioner Road, GT Road, and Civil Hospital Road among others.
