Lahore: Water and Sewerage Agency (WASA) has decided to cut down on the aquifer charges for commercial and domestic consumers – a news source reported on February 4. The relief is aimed at consumers using ejector pumps to draw underground water.

WASA has already prepared a working paper for the new business plan under which the charges will be reduced. The business plan will be presented before the LDA Governing Body for approval.
Under the new plan, categories of homes have been established for which the ejector pump’s monthly charges are as follows:

The new plans are also expected to bring in 30,000 new consumers.
