Lahore: Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Deputy Managing Director (Operations) Ghufran Ahmed has issued a deadline to complete excavation work on all ongoing projects before June 15, according to news published on May 31.

WASA’s Deputy Managing Director Ahmed held a meeting in which it was decided that the agency will complete all its ongoing projects before the monsoon season starts. The meeting was attended by Data Gunj Bakhsh Town Director Sohail Sindhu, Ravi Town Director Hafiz Raheel, Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Chaudhry Shahbaz, and other officials.

Moreover, the meeting also discussed the ongoing projects of water supply and sewerage and the problems faced by the locals. The WASA director directed to resolve the issues of people. He ordered the relevant officials to clean filtration plants and keep a check on the attendance of the tube well operators so people can get water on time.
