Lahore: Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has begun preparations for its budget for the next fiscal year 2018-19, according to a news report. In that fiscal year, WASA will receive resources worth PKR 10 billion through external funding. Water treatment plants will be set up at two places in Lahore using these funds.
A surface water treatment plant, which is to be set up on Bambawali-Ravi-Bedian Canal has also been made part of the next fiscal budget and PKR 5.5 billion has been allocated to it. A waste water treatment plant, which is to be set up near Mehmood Booti, has also been allocated PKR 4 billion for the upcoming year.
