Islamabad: The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) will help develop the power infrastructure in Maldives, a news source reported. In this regard, WAPDA has already signed an agreement with Maldives’ Estate Electric Company.
The MoU in this regard was signed between WAPDA Member Finance Muhammad Ikram Khan and Estate Electric Company Chairman Ahmed Amen. The MoU-signing ceremony was also attended by senior officials from both organisations.
Under this agreement, the employees of Estate Electric Company will participate in training programmes organised by WAPDA for it employees, employees will be exchanged, and training visits and leadership development programmes will be arranged to learn from each other’s experiences.
