Tarbela: The Chief Engineer (Power) of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has invited sealed bids for various types of equipment required for the Tarbela Power Station, according to a news source. Only those bids will be accepted that come from the original manufacturers, authorised distributors, suppliers, and contractors who are registered with the Income Tax and Sales Tax Department.

These resources should be on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) of the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) or should be Persons licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the appropriate category. Their purpose is to procure computerised software-based energy meters for Units 11~14, along with 500KV and 220KV transmission lines of Tarbela Power Station. The time period for the completion of this contract has been set at 120 days.

All bids are expected to be submitted in accordance to the bidding documents, which can be acquired at Chief Engineer (Power) WAPDA-Power Station, Tarbela, Post Code: 23470, District Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. These will cost PKR 1,000, payable in the shape of a pay order/bank order in favour of Chief Engineer (Power) WAPDA Tarbela Dam, on M/s Habib Bank Limited, G.I.K.I Branch, Topi-1979 (A/c No.: 19790006519303) and include the following documents:
