Under the agreement, GB Scouts would raise a GB Scouts Wing for the purpose of Diamer Bhasha Dam project security. According to sources, the new security wing is a significant step towards the implementation of the dam project. They added that due to the remote area chosen for the project’s construction, it was important to have adequate security measures available for its smooth and timely completion.
Moreover, the GB Scouts Security Wing would provide a secure and safe working environment at the project site. The scouts would utilise their professional capabilities for placing an effective security mechanism within the area.
