Chitral: Protection walls have been built on both sides of Bindu Gol Glacial Lake in Upper Chitral to protect people living in Gokhir Valley from glacial outbursts.
According to a news source, the project was funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The news source reported further that ‘Safe Centres’ had also been built to house people in the event of glacial outbreaks.
