Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has invited bids from private firms that can operate and manage the LDA shopping arena Walk & Shop in Johar Town on lease, according to an announcement published on the authority’s official Facebook page on November 11.

As per the post, Walk & Shop Shopping Arena is a mega project that features a total of 84 commercial outlets and entertainment facilities such as theme park, train track, zipline, mini golf course, food court, kids’ play area and an amphitheater. The authority stated that the duration of the lease isn’t yet specified.
Interested firms are required to submit sealed pre-qualification applications until December 05 byl 12 PM at the office of LDA Chief Engineer-II in Johar Town. The authority also specifies that firms registered with the Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and other related authorities are eligible to submit bids for pre-qualification.

International firms that are interested in the project and are registered with relevant authorities can also apply in joint ventures (JVs) with local firms. However, the said JVs have to be registered with the SECP and other local authorities.
The pre-qualification bid documents can be obtained from the office of LDA Chief Engineer-II during office hours with a PKR 10,000 pay order in favour of the authority. The bid documents can also be downloaded from the website of the LDA or the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA).
