He stated that many of the city’s roads are not ideal for heavy traffic and produce problems for regular passenger vehicles. He also mentioned that the existing road infrastructure will be upgraded by adding extra heavy traffic parking stands on the Lyari Expressway to help with trucks. In a meeting with Karachi Goods Carrier Association President Noor Khan Niazi, Wahab said that the government will soon acquire 1,000 acres of land near the Northern Bypass for truck stands. This will help resolve some of the main problems of traffic in the city, as the parking of trucks inside the city around the port area causes traffic jams and also poses a threat to life. The city administrator highlighted that the government will continue to work with traders for the betterment of the city, and suggestions will be welcomed to ensure inclusive development.

It is vital to note that fuel trucks are frequently seen near Karachi seaport terminals and Bin Qasim port, posing a hazard to life because the vehicles are frequently filled with flammable materials. The government has already approved cash for the relocation of the truck stops outside of town.
