Lahore: The Punjab government has launched a cleanliness drive in villages of the entire province, according to Punjab Minister for Local Bodies Mansha-ullah Butt, a news source reported. The total cost of the drive stands at PKR 9 billion, and the minister said that this was the first time such a project had been launched in Pakistan.
The report detailed that the project was already underway according to the minister. He also added that during the first phase, all villages of Punjab were cleaned by the district governments.
