The said restriction on vehicles entering Murree was imposed during a recent meeting held to analyze arrangements being made to ensure the uninterrupted daily lives of the residents of the hill station during the snowfall season. The meeting also decided that strict action will be taken against parties involved in extorting money from tourists under false pretences. To facilitate travellers, 13 tourist facilitation centres have also been set up in the city. It was also highlighted that a central control room – supervised by the PDMA’s Provincial Control Room – has been established for seamless service delivery of various public departments.
