Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has clarified that utility services are available for all approved housing societies, for houses, commercial buildings, plots and schemes, according to a notification. New connections for electricity, water and gas will only be allowed to projects that are developed according to CDA’s rules.
Through this notice, the CDA also warns property buyers against investing in these unapproved projects, as they breach the CDA Ordinance 1690, the Islamabad Capital Territory Zoning Regulations 1992 and the Islamabad Building Control Regulations 2005.
In order to help people check a project’s approval status, the CDA encourages stakeholders to send an email at dir.bcs2@cda.gov.pk. In addition, details are also available on the civic authority’s official website.
The CDA also instructed real estate developers to follow the set rules to ensure that public investment stays safe.
