Islamabad: The US Dollar (USD), following a significant uptick in the value of the Pakistani Rupee (PKR), has recorded a subsequent decrease, impacting both the interbank and open market landscapes, according to a news source on December 21.

As per the details, the USD underwent an 11-paisa reduction, settling at PKR 282.79, as compared to the previous day’s closing rate of PKR 282.90. Concurrently, the open market noted a 25-paisa decline, setting the USD’s value at PKR 284.25.

Noteworthy adjustments were also noted in the values of other prominent currencies. The Euro witnessed a reduction of PKR 1, reaching PKR 309, while the Pound experienced a dip of PKR 1.5, stabilising at PKR 358.50. The Emirati Dirham demonstrated a decrease of 40-paisa, reaching PKR 77.60, and the Saudi Riyal saw a 20-paisa reduction, concluding at PKR 75.70.Top of Form
