Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan is expecting to collect USD 6 billion under the recently announced tax amnesty scheme, a news source quoted Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Revenue Haroon Akhtar Khan. This revenue will help lower the deficit in national revenue and keep Pakistan from seeking monitorial help from financial institutes include International Monitory Fund.
Akhtar also restated that the budget 2018-19 will not disappoint people of Pakistan. He also said that decision to exempt the salaried person from tax audit hasn’t been taken under pressure of any institute. He said so talking to the media at the Federal Board of Revenue’s headquarters.
