Karachi: The total remittances received through Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA) have reached USD 3.92 billion with an inflow of USD 290 million recorded in March, news sources reported. The inflow has recorded an increase of USD 40 million in March as compared to February-2022.

Reportedly, as many as 23,312 new accounts were opened in March, bringing the total number of RDA s to 388,494. The non-resident Pakistanis (NRPs) living in 175 countries are using these digital accounts to send money for investments or to support their families living in the country.
The initiative provides various products to NRPs, including direct investment in the stock exchange, Roshan Apna Ghar housing loan facility with subsidised markup rate (under Mera Pakistan, Mera Ghar (MPMG)), and Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPC), the total value of which is presently USD 2.64 billion. RDA provides investment opportunities via NPCs, which offer an annualised return of 7% for USD and 11% for PKR. Similarly, the rate for GBP is 6.50 %, while the rate for Euro is 5.75 %.

Moreover, Roshan Samaji Khidmat is another product that allows NRPs to make donations to their preffered charitable institutions in Pakistan.
