Karachi: Overseas Pakistan remitted USD 16.2 billion for the first 10 months (July-April) of the last fiscal year 2017-18, 3.92% higher than the USD 15.6 billion for the same period last year, according to a news report. The figures are based on quarterly report of the State Bank of Pakistan.
The quarterly report anticipated that Pakistan will attract a maximum of USD 20.5 billion in remittances in the year. This projection is higher than the previous year’s USD 19.3 billion, but still below the target USD 20.7 billion.
