The plan was shared following a meeting between Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Pervaiz Elahi and USAID Mission Director in Pakistan Reed Aeschliman. Both sides decided to cooperate on energy projects aimed at providing cheap and accessible electricity to citizens. The chief said that Punjab is the largest province in terms of population and needs more energy. CM Elahi also briefed Reed on the ongoing developments. He said that ever since Punjab has been declared a sister province of California, it has taken every opportunity to develop more resources.
