It was announced that the Lahore Master Plan-2050’s review will be conducted after LDA obtains certified copies of the Lahore High Court (LHC)’s detailed judgement, which suspended the implementation of the master plan in January 2023.
The LHC’s short judgement issued on January 10 opined that the plan should have been shared with some independent experts for consultation before LDA’s governing body approved it. The court asked for the plan to be reveviewed by WWF and the Urban Unit in the view of growing urban problems in the city.
