Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has approved new schemes as part of the Peshawar uplift programme, according to a news published on September 23.

While chairing a meeting held on the second phase of the Peshawar uplift programme, he issued instructions for the relevant authorities to timely complete the six-kilometre-long Hayatabad trail and other ongoing projects. He ordered the development of a proper management and maintenance plan to make the initiatives more sustainable.
As per a statement issued on Thursday, the chief minister has also ordered the district administration to take pragmatic steps to launch a crackdown on professional beggary – which has become something of a nuisance in the province.
Moreover, the meeting was informed that the designing and planning of 20 various schemes have been approved and tenders will soon be floated.

It was highlighted that the Hayatabad trail will be completed at a cost of PKR 803 million and will feature recreational facilities including; jogging and cycling tracks, shops, green belts, kids zone, public toilets, sit-outs, amphitheatre, open gym, badminton and basketball courts, ladies gym, library, and skating area.
During the meeting, the CM also instructed the enhancement of Charsadda road, Bacha Khan Chowk, Scheme Chowk, entrance points of Shahi Bagh, and all entry points to Peshawar.
