Gujranwala: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday announced development project amounting to PKR 25 billion – during his visit to the districts of Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, and Hafizabad, according to news sources.

As per the official statement, the CM announced PKR 8.41 billion worth of projects in Gujranwala – which would include a flyover at Alam Chowk and internal and external link roads in the city. Futhermore, a road project that will be constructed to link Gujranwala with Sialkot-Lahore Motorway via Eminabad Mor was also in the works.
In Shiekhupura, CM Buzdar announced development package of over PKR 10 billion – while also inaugurating a tree planting drive at the Sheikhupura Gymkhana. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for a water supply and drainage project that is being launched with PKR 410 million. Moreover, he led the officiating ceremony of the Manawala-Sucha Sauda Road – which is being developed at a cost of PKR 640 million for promotion of tourism.

Similarly, the chief minister announced PKR 7.2 billion uplift package for Hafizabad district. He also stated that Hafizabad-Sukheki road, Chowk Sukheki-Jalalpur Bhattian road, and Kot Hara-Jallalpur Bhatian road, would be rehabilitated and enhanced at a cost of PKR 3.98 billion.
Moreover, the CM also announced several other projects in health district in relation to education, health and road infrastructure.
