Lahore: The Government of Punjab approved a development scheme of urban development sector worth PKR 5.059 million, according to a news report. This scheme consists of supplementing water supply from Chahan Dam to Rawalpindi city, especially those areas which have been added to Wasa’s jurisdiction.
The uplift scheme was approved during a special meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) for the current fiscal year 2018-2019. Planning and Development Chairman Habib-ur-Rehman Gilani presided over the meeting, whereas a number of dignitaries were present. These included P&D Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of P&D Board, provincial secretaries, and Assistant Chief P&D Coordination.
