As the well-reputed Defence Housing Authority has entered Peshawar and is set to revolutionise quality living in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, interested investors have come up with a number of frantic questions regarding investment in this area. That is to be expected, since the society has just recently spread its wings and booking is now in progress. The number of questions arising is indicative of the amount of interest from potential investors.
The overwhelming response and investor concerns have formed the motivation for this post and hopefully it will cater to all of the questions popping up regarding DHA Peshawar. Let’s begin the update session in order to shed light upon some important issues regarding the society and the booking process.
Overseas Pakistani Registration Process
The application process for overseas Pakistanis is the same as it is for local citizens and overseas Pakistanis can simply download the application form from the previous blog regarding DHA Peshawar, or can pick up a form from any of the following banks:
- Askari Bank Ltd
- Allied Bank Ltd
- The Bank of Khyber
- Bank Alfalah Ltd
- Habib Bank Ltd
- MCB Ltd
- United Bank Ltd
- Dubai Islamic Bank Ltd
All of these banks are offering forms and accepting forms for collection. But since many overseas Pakistanis might not have access to these bank branches, they can download the form, fill it out and mail (or email) it along with 2 passport-sized photographs, a copy of their CNIC, and a copy of the receipt of the payment of the processing fee to the DHA office in Peshawar. Overseas Pakistanis must wire the processing fee ($150 for 1-kanal plots and $125 for 10-marla plots) to any of the following bank accounts:

They can also ask a relative/friend in Pakistan to submit the form on their behalf after they have provided them with the required documents.
The last date for registration is December 5, 2015.
Plot Allotment Quotas and Balloting
According to Zeeshan Zafar from Property Solutionz, the plot quotas for different categories are as follows:

Overseas Pakistanis | 10% |
DHA Employees | 10% |

Balloting is due to commence approximately one month after applications are submitted, according to sources. Accordingly, as the current application deadline is December 5, 2015, balloting can be expected sometime in January. However, this is at DHA management’s discretion and is subject to change according to circumstances.
Processing Fee and Development Charges
DHA has not revealed development charges as of yet, and there is no information regarding how high or low they will be. However, once balloting is finished and development is underway, it is expected that DHA will reveal this information. The processing fee for the application for booking is non-refundable and will not be adjusted with any other payment.
Plot Sizes and Commercial Plots
DHA Peshawar has only opened booking for 10-marla and 1-kanal plots currently. 2-kanal and 4-kanal plots may be offered in the future but there is currently no information available regarding when any such offers will be made. The situation for commercial plots is the same, as DHA Peshawar has not announced booking for commercial plots as yet, but is expected to do so in the future.
Future Prospects
DHA Peshawar is the first project of its kind in terms of a high quality housing society in Peshawar and definitely has promising future prospects. Prices of the plots will increase in due time and specifically when development begins. Hence, potential investors should consider this a viable investment.

I called DHA Helpline and they informed that for Overseas Pakistani, fees can be submitted in Pakistan Rupees in local bank, which is contradicting with the above statement.
Can you please clarify about this issue.

How should I know corresponding DHA Peshawar Pakistani Bank address as Its not mentioned or do you mean that should I send my application forms details to DHA address as well email?

You have got the branch code. So, look for that branch code on specific bank’s website. That will give you address and phone numbers. May be call them to confirm email address.

Dear all, I am sorry, no one commented on inability of the govt to check on societies being developed on agricultural land. I an specifically talking of societies arising in Gujranwala, Lahore, Bahawalpur, Sialkot as well as recently launched DHA at Peshawar. For heaven sack leave these places for agriculture rather then making huge dins all around.

I deposited cash for DHA Peshawar in an Askari Bank Branch in Multan. The officer there wrote the DHA Peshawar Askari Bank A/c different than the one as given on the DHA forms. What to do now? Any suggestions?

The balloting was supposed to hold within 45 days from the closing date for submission of application. Every one is now anxiously waiting to hear the announcement. However, as the balloting date is already overdue, DHA should now break the silence by at least announcing a tentative date.
