Multan: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has directed the chancellors of the province’s universities to initiate fund raising campaigns geared to help the masses affected by the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown, a news source reported.

A formal notice in this regard has also been sent to the said officials.
In response to the government’s call, Zakariya University employees notified their surrender of two days’ salary for the Prime Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund. As per the information shared by the Zakariya University Registrar, all of the institute’s Grade-17 employees will donate their two-day’s salary, while those falling under Grades 5 to 16 will donate one day’s salary.

The notice issued by the Governor Office further directs the universities to transfer all collected funds to the governor.
