Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) and Unilever Pakistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the provision of facilities at tourist sites in the province, according to news published in the national dailies on Friday (April 15).

The agreement was signed by KPCTA Director Administration and Finance Yousaf Ali and Unilever Pakistan’s KP Manager Atif Hameed Khan. As per the details, Unilever Pakistan will install awareness, environmental, and entry signboards related to safety steps along with placing benches and bins at the tourist destinations across the province.
The firm will install 150 bins, 75 benches, 60 signboards for awareness about the environment, 45 signboards for safety measures, and boards for cleanliness at the University of Swat Green Valley Mart and Malam Jabba, mentioned in a press release. The signboards for creating awareness about the environment will be installed at Korak check-post, Miandam Chowk, Charbagh check-post, Khawazakhela post, Cheel park, rest areas, and car parking lots.

Moreover, the KPCTA director stated that installing signboards for awareness was vital to ensure that the tourists maintain cleanliness of the scenic sites. Manager Events Haseena Shaukat hoped that this collaboration will also help promote tourism in KP.
