Islamabad: A meeting of the Capital Development Authority Development Working Party(CDADWP) will be held on Tuesday (September 14), in which several development projects will be presented for approval, according to news published on Monday (September 13).

As per the details, it was reported that the meeting will approve the widening of flyovers and underpasses in Sectors G-5 and G-6, and adjoining roads on Ataturk Avenue to improve the flow of traffic. In addition to this, the approvals will be awarded for the construction, renovation, and repair of highways up to Ayub Chowk in a bid to make Islamabad – a safe and smart city.

Moreover, the PC-1 of the Islamabad Bus Service project will be submitted for approval during the meeting. The project is expected to be completed by January 2022 and will be operated on a zero-subsidy basis. Another plan that will be presented for approval is for the provision of the latest machinery in-house to enhance the performance of the environment department, which will help in the construction and repair of highways.
