Islamabad: The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) has stated that underground water should be priced and asked for recommendations on pricing, a news source reported. The CJP directed the Law and Justice Commission to submit a report within 20 days.
The 3-member bench of the Supreme Court instructed the relevant parties to attend the meeting of the commission for determination of prices of underground water. The secretary of the commission Muhammad Raheem Awan stated that the recommendations for determination of prices have been received, however, ten days will be needed to scrutinise them and hold a workshop on the matter.
