For all those who had been waiting for electrification work to start in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore Phase VIII Ex-Air Avenue, there is good news. The DHA has decided to start underground electrification in the locality and work on the project will commence this month.
The DHA has also displayed streamers to publicise the development, which clearly state that the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has approved the underground electrification plans for Ex-Air Avenue.
Air Avenue was owned by a private developer before its acquisition by the DHA and the former owner of the locality had installed silver wires, which the DHA will replace with copper wires in order to ensure the provision of full electricity voltage to the residents.
Now that the DHA has planned to start electrification work in DHA Phase VIII Ex-Air Avenue, the investors should expect to see property prices rising there in the near future. Ex-Air Avenue comprises Blocks L, M, N P, Q and R of Phase VIII and it features residential plots of 10 marlas and 1 and 2 kanals.
According to a real estate expert based in Lahore, the sale prices of 10 marla plots in the locality currently range between Rs 8,500,000 and Rs 9,000,000. The value of 1-kanal plots is between Rs 13,500,000 and Rs 16,000,000, while the market price of 2-kanal plots lingers between Rs 27,500,000 and Rs 32,500,000.
The prices in the locality are already reasonably high, which might mean gains will not be extraordinary in the short term at least. However, news of underground electrification is indeed promising for the prospective residents who plan to live here and enjoy DHA-standard infrastructure development and other facilities on offer.
