Rasheed was speaking at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI). He said that despite daunting internal challenges, Pakistan is seeking to maximise foreign direct investment (FDI). He stated that the formation of the said CPEC group will help create awareness about the opportunities resulting from this infrastructure project.
Rasheed had met with the Chinese ambassador to discuss the formal launch of this group in September 2019. He announced that British investors are now showing keen interest in energy and logistics-related projects as the business environment has improved in Pakistan.
Additionally, Rasheed told that investment in Pakistan will help both the stakeholders and create jobs for the youth. Referring to his two meetings with Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, he said that country’s situation has improved after change of government, and PM Khan is eager to bring in more FDI.
