Islamabad: Pakistan and the United Kingdom (UK) decided to enhance bilateral trade ties by investing in energy, textile, health, education, and other sectors, according to a news published in the leading newspaper on March 8.

The news source mentioned that Federal Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar had a telephonic conversation with British Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy and Member of British Parliament Mark Eastwood. Both sides discussed the enhancement of bilateral trade.

Moreover, it was disclosed that both countries have decided to cooperate in a variety of fields including textile, health, energy, education, and other sectors. Commerce Minister Qamar mentioned that economic stabilization and growth are on priority for the incumbent government. The UK trade envoy also highlighted the need for the enhancement of bilateral trade. He appreciated the role of Pakistanis residing in the UK for their efforts in the development of the country.
