Islamabad: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has requested UAE Prime Minister Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum to encourage the country’s business community to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan, according to a news story published in national dailies on December 17.
The request was put forth during a meeting held between the two officials in Dubai on Thursday. During this session, the two sides agreed to enhance cooperation in the agriculture sector of Pakistan. Speaking to the UAE’s premier, Qureshi said that Pakistan desires to strengthen its ties with the Emirates by enhancing bilateral trade.

The foreign minister further said that Pakistani Pavilion in Dubai Expo 2020 will reflect the historic relation between the two counties. ‘Millions of Pakistanis have played a diligent role in the development of the UAE during the past several decades,’ said Qureshi.
The minister also highlighted the problems faced by the Pakistani community residing in the UAE.
