Lahore: The Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) on Tuesday (February 8) announced that a Dubai-based company will invest in the Information technology (IT) infrastructure of Punjab, news sources reported. The investment will be made in Punjab’s E-governance solutions and digital transformation projects.

Reportedly, the group officials met with PBIT Chairman Fazil Asif Jah and discussed the prospects of the investment and the potential benefits for the company and the people. It was told that the delegation led by Sheik Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum, met with the officials in Lahore. The meeting has followed the company’s initial encounter at Dubai Expo 2020. The investment in IT infrastructure will help increase government transparency, speed and will promote development in the province. The board’s Additional Director Tipu Ahmed Sharqui said that the government has assured the company of all possible facilities to materialize the investment.
