Islamabad: United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Saleem Al Zaab on Tuesday (August 23) invited the Pakistani business community to invest in joint ventures (JVs) in various industries operating in the UAE, news sources reported.

The envoy stated that the business sector in the Emirates has several opportunities in the health, education, agriculture, biotechnology, and food security sectors. He stated that the Pakistani population in the UAE is robust and has contributed significantly to the UAE’s growth. He also stated that the new opportunities for the business community in the UAE will bring forth a new age of bilateral and mutual collaboration. He made these remarks during a meeting with Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman at the Governor’s House. He went on to say that relations between the UAE and Pakistan are built on mutual trust, love, and respect at both the government and public levels.

It is worth noting that Pakistan is the UAE’s largest source of labour. Additionally, according to recent data, the UAE is the top contributor to overseas remittances.
