Lahore: The officials of Lahore Development Authority have indicated that the 28-storey high Twin Tower project is rolled back, reported a news source. The project was earlier to be built on Jail Road but in March, the authorities decided to move Twin Towers to Ferozepur Road.
The project that was planned to span 22 kanals, reach 300 feet high, and to be constructed on build-operate-transfer (BOT) mode is now limited to paper only. Reportedly, the project design consultant and contractor on BOT mode was also finalised, and the land for the project was to be purchased from Communication and Works at a cost of PKR 830 million.
The project was conceived during the tenure of LDA Director General Zahid Akhtar Zaman. Road shows for its funding were also held in Turkey and China.
