Islamabad: Several Turkish real estate firms are willing to invest in the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP), as well as other infrastructure and development projects – a news source reported.

A delegation of Turkish investors expressed its views on the matter during a visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI). These businessmen informed that at least 55,000 Turkish companies are associated with the real estate and construction sectors.
They further stated that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had talked about investment opportunities in Pakistan during his visit to Turkey. The members said they arrived in the country to learn more about the investment and economic opportunities referenced.
In response, ICCI President Ahmed Hassan Mughal said that Pakistan offers attractive economic opportunities to overseas investors. He added that a rapid surge in population has created the need for a developed infrastructure.

Under NPHP, the government plans to construct five million low-cost residential houses in the next five years.
