Islamabad: The Turkish Government has agreed in principle to install 18 telemetry stations over major rivers in Pakistan to monitor the real-time data about the water flow and flood situation, according to a news source.
This will cover one of the salient points of the National Flood Protection Plan-IV (NFPP-IV) and is a positive step towards flood detection in the country. This will upgrade the early warning system of Pakistan and prevent major economic and human loss in the wake of natural disasters.
