Lahore: The Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Dr. Hasan Askari has advised the Provincial Secretary Arif Anwar Baloch to start a tree plantation campaign in the province, according to a news report. While giving details, Arif said that directions have been issued to the secretaries appointed at union councils all across the province so tree plantation can be promoted.
As per the statement, all secretaries of union councils are to meet the target of planting 500,000 trees. Campaigns for tree plantation drives have been launched since early summer this year all throughout Pakistan, especially Punjab.
