Rawalpindi: Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing has asked the business community in Pakistan to collaborate with Chinese investors under the new phase of the multi-billion economic corridor (CPEC) project, a news source reported.

He was addressing the participants at a business-to-business (B2B) conference, which was organised by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).
He said the Chinese entrepreneurs were ready to transfer technical expertise and set up their business ventures in Pakistan. Local traders should avail this opportunity to benefit from increasing trade ties between the two countries, he added.

The Chinese envoy lauded the federal government for relaxing its visa policies as well as introducing the ease of doing business initiative to facilitate foreign investors.
He said the next phase of CPEC would prioritise the involvement of private sector and third-country partners. Special focus would be given to the development of special economic zones (SEZs) in Pakistan.

The Chinese ambassador added that his government was looking forward to the upcoming visit of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to Beijing during the last week of April.
