Rawalpindi: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi Tahir Farooq disclosed that a tourist facilitation centre has been established by Rawalpindi District Administration and Highway Department in Murree to facilitate tourists, according to a news story published in the leading newspaper on May 29.

The DC shared this information while visiting Murree to check the progress of ongoing development, beautification, and rehabilitation work. During the visit, the DC directed relevant authorities to expedite work on the ongoing projects and ensure their timely completion.
The DC also mentioned that foolproof security was being provided to the tourists in Murree; in case of an emergency, they can contact the officials on the following numbers: 051-9269015, 051-9269016, and 051-9269017.

Talking about the traffic conditions, Farooq mentioned that the best traffic and security arrangements have been put in place for the convenience of travellers. He requested people visiting Murree to follow the traffic rules and not to park their cars outside the parking areas. He mentioned that special teams have been formed to resolve the problems of the tourists.
