Peshawar: The Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) has launched a new mobile health application, by the name of ‘Sehat Kahani’, for the ease and timely provision of health services for tourists. Additionally, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Ministry for Tourism has identified several new locations to be established as tourist destinations in the province and decided to construct better roads in tourism zones.

By downloading the Galiyat Guide from the app store, both tourists and residents can now get immediate audio or video assistance from a doctor by choosing the ‘Doctor on Demand’ option from the application.
The app was launched at GDA’s head office, where the CEO of ‘Sehat Kahani’, Dr Sara Khurram lauded this initiative saying it was the first of its kind. This is one of the first steps towards a digital age for KP and it could not have been possible without the assistance of the GDA, added CEO TechValley Umar Farooq. The Director General GDA said that the authority will do everything in its power to make travelling to Pakistan an easy and enjoyable experience for tourists.

The KP Ministry for Tourism, Culture, Sports, Archaeology and Youth Affairs has identified Ghanool in the Mansehra District, Nakyal in the Swat District, and Madak Lasht in the Chitral District as new tourist destinations. The ministry has also decided to construct new roads and mend old ones in the tourism zones of the province.
