Lahore: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan recently announced that the provincial government has prepared a comprehensive plan to promote tourism in the region, according to a news source. He added that the proposal would help improve KP’s economy, and also provide better job opportunities to the locals.

The CM conducted a meeting with the Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) at the CM House. The meeting discussed the new tourism project and the various ways would help promote trade and business activities in the province — as well as provide better transportation facilities to the people of the southern regions.

CM Mahmood stressed that sustainable development of under-privileged districts – especially the newly merged tribal districts (NMTDs) – was the provincial government’s priority. He added that the KP government was taking practical steps in order to improve tourism, roads, energy & power, industry, communication networks, schools, hospitals, and other infrastructure in all districts of the province. He added that the government was making these developments in order to ensure that the public had access to all basic services and amenities they required.
