Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed the provincial minister for local government to complete the development work of Malir Expressway project within 2.5 years, a news source reported on December 11.
CM Murad issued these directives during his visit to the project site to examine the development work. He was accompanied by Minister Saeed Ghani, Minister Syed Nasir Shah and other notable officials. The minister also held a media brief after the visit.

Speaking to newsmen, Murad said that the six-lane-wide Malir Expressway will be a dual carriageway featuring 3-metre wide shoulders. The expressway will allow speed limit of 100 kilometre per hour. The 39.40-kilometre-long expressway will be completed at a cost of PKR 27 billion. The expense includes construction of Korangi Flyover.
The CM directed the concerned ministers to pace up the development work and ensure that the project is completed in 2.5 years.
