Peshawar: Three more uplift projects have been inaugurated in the tribal districts as development work gains pace, a news source reported. These projects are being built at a cumulative cost of PKR 7.6 million by the Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP).

The said projects will help more than 235 households in accessing clean drinking water. These households are located in three villages of Khyber and Kurram tribal districts, and South Waziristan.
These schemes also fall under the German government-funded and KFW-financed ‘Reintegration & Rehabilitation of TDPs in the newly merged districts (RRP-TDP)’ project.

An inauguration ceremony for a gravity flow drinking water supply scheme was held in South Waziristan district’s Karama Village, Ladha tehsil of the district. This scheme includes a 7,000-gallon water tank.
Local elders, community members, district administration, and local formation attended the inauguration ceremonies for the said projects.
