Mansehra: Parliamentary Secretary (Power Division) Saleh Muhammad Khan has revealed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has allocated funds worth PKR 1.25 billion for the construction of three roads in the city, according to a news report published on July 13.

He said that the development has been prompted by the recommendations of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s the provincial strategy to boost tourism. He also lauded the fact that for the first time in national history ‘tourism’ was given an industrial status.
The secretary made these remarks while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the Hoteliers Association in Balakot on Sunday. He said that the incumbent government has launched major tourism development projects to explore more avenues of revenue generation in the province.

Moreover, Advisor to Chief Minister Ahmad Hussain Shah also spoke on the occasion and revealed that Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan was to inaugurate the three road projects in Kaghan Valley in the coming week. He said that out of the 14 small hydropower projects underway in Balakot tehsil, five have been complete and will be inaugurated by the chief minister during the same visit.
