Lahore: The Punjab Provincial Developing Working Party (PPDWP) has given the green light to three road projects at a cost of around PKR 2.7 billion, a news source reported. The projects have been approved in Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Chakwal and Dera Ghazi Khan.
One project involves the dualisation of Gujranwala-Sheikhupura Road at a cost of PKR 1,408.481 million, the project includes acquisition of land, compensation of structure and the relocation of utility services. The second project involves the construction of an 18-km road from Dhulla to Mangwal in district Chakwal at a cost of PKR 684.593 million.
The third project is the construction of a 46-km metalled road from Surthok to Theekar through Gata Rekih in DG Khan at a cost of PKR 573.663 million.
The schemes were approved in PPDWP’s meeting chaired by P&D Chairman Habib ur Rehman Gilani. A number of other high officials, including relevant secretaries and representatives of relevant departments were present in the meeting.
